The Great Commission was Jesus’ loving exhortation to his disciples to go and spread the gospel’s good news. It is a commission we take very closely to heart at the Canadian Reformed Church here in Chilliwack.

Matthew 28:16-20 “16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our Evangelism Committee uses courses like the Two Ways to Live program from Matthias Media to teach and encourage members to reach out to our communities and share the wonderful faith that we have and the love of God.

If you are new to the Christian faith, or would like to learn more about God we’d love to get you started with the Introducing God study from Matthias Media. This seven session study is a great overview of the Christian faith and will give you the opportunity to ask questions and get to know who God is. Please fill in the form below.

We support the work of the Ruth and Naomi’s Mission located in downtown Chilliwack and their compassionate work feeding, supporting, and encouraging those who are going through difficult times in our city. We’ve done winter clothing and blanket drives and our volunteers enjoy cooking and connecting with the homeless at the mission’s kitchen providing monthly dinners.

Each year we host a completely free event to get to know our neighbours. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy hot dogs and get your car washed by our energetic volunteers. So often we encounter people who are touched by such a simple gesture. In a world where nearly nothing in life is free, getting to know the people in our city certainly should be free!

Anyone attending our church and members alike are welcome to participate in Small Groups. If you are looking for a way to get to know more people here and be encouraged in your walk of faith, please contact our Evangelism Committee and we’ll be happy to put you in contact with a group. Small groups meet regularly, pray for eachother, arrange social events, and grow in faith and understanding together. It is a great program for getting to know others at church.

The GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting their Saviour) girls program and Calvinist Cadets Corp boys program run every other week and are open to all boys and girls from grades 2-6.

About GEMS: Girls can be world-changers. They can make a difference—right here, right now! Joining a GEMS Club is an opportunity to study the Bible, make new friends, and learn what it means to live a radically faithful life for Christ—acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with Him!

About Cadets: The Calvinist Cadet Corps is an independent (non-denominational) youth ministry organization whose purpose is to provide the local church with ministry programs that will enable them to effectively share Christ’s love with boys from their church and community.

Voice of the Church is a media outreach program produced by the Canadian Reformed Churches. Our Scripture-based meditations cover a wide range of topics that will introduce you to the life-changing truth of God’s Word. By means of our weekly 15-minute broadcasts we encourage you to become more familiar with the teachings of Holy Scripture and to learn about the plan of salvation only made possible by our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope and pray that the messages will be a blessing to you and that your life will be truly enriched by them. Find these meditations at
